Xigera Safari Lodge is deeply rooted in the Okavango Delta, and we were privileged to contribute bespoke floor finishes to this extraordinary project. The architect and their clients’ selected Sagonne, a genuinely hand-hewn floor finish crafted by renowned artisans, Hakwood, to floor both public and private interior spaces.
Their brief called for an anti-termite treatment to be added to FSC-accredited French White Oak, all of which underwent extra conditioning to ensure dimensional stability in an otherwise unforgiving climate. The visual and tactile effect is world-class, as the flooring offers a backdrop to offset the white river sand and vibrant fine-art installations in a space that we’re proud to be associated with.
