Starting from wood selection, they carefully sort veneers by colour and texture to minimise colour differences. With quality checks throughout the production process, they ensure the end result meets expectations. Leeuwenburgh adjust colour stains where necessary to deliver high colour consistency.
Leeuwenburgh guarantees ethically sourced wood. Their wood comes from sustainably managed forests, where trees are responsibly harvested and replanted. Where possible, Leeuwenburgh prefers PEFC- and FSC-certified wood.
Maximum yield from a tree trunk: Leeuwenburgh creates veneer boards by cutting thin layers of wood from a tree trunk. This allows them to cover more surface area with less wood.
From design to delivery, Leeuwenburgh operates sustainably, especially in finishing: casting prevents waste compared to spraying, as there is no overspray. Lacquer residues are not discarded but reused in the next batch. Leeuwenburgh primarily uses water-based lacquer.
