Storm’s stunning colour is in large part due to the complexity and iterative nature of the finishing process: eight applications, including a double fuming (smoking) of the underlying timber, a subtle brushing of its open grain and a bevy of oxidative and UV-cured sealants result in a captivating hardwood finish.

A smooth surface with micro bevel edges.  

Successive applications of both oxidative oils and UV-cured oils for a robust surface that is easy to care for.

Hakwood’s Duoplank construction includes either a 6- or 4-mm thick wear layer of European Oak in a variety of grades and a multi-ply substrate of Birch for unsurpassed dimensional stability in any climate.
